Hi,
I have had to reject a lot of press release submissions recently and I thought I would write why.
The first reason for a majority of the recent rejections is because the submitted text is not a press release but rather a mere advert. Among other things a press release must news content. An advert isn't news, it is an advert

If you need to submit a press release about a product or website, as a minimum, there needs to be a story of some kind. If it is a new version then that is a story (of sorts). A product launch is a story (again a weak one, but a story no less). Think story. Remember press releases are for journalists.
The second reason (and I much more lenient on this) is bad formatting. As a minimum the body of the press release should start with:
City, State (FPRC) Month 1, 2006 --
Obviously you need to put in your city and the current date!
Finally, the team here at FPRC want to keep quality high. High quality means a wider distribution network which is better for all of us!
Thanks,
Gary
